Nikolay M. Novikov – Honorary Consul of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Ukraine

In February 1999 Mr. Nikolay Novikov was appointed by the Government of Luxembourg as a Honorary Consul of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Ukraine.

Mr. Novikov has excellent relations with Ukrainian government authorities which give him opportunity to promote bilateral trade and economic relationship between Luxembourg and Ukraine. Mr. Novikov has acted as Advisor to the Minister Economy and European Integration of Ukraine. At present Mr. Novikov is a Member of Advisory Committee on Investments to the Mayor of the City of Kiev.

Mr. Novikov has extensive business and personal contact with the main Ukrainian financial institutions, bankers and industrialists. He proved to be capable in assisting to establish sound relationship between Luxembourg and Ukrainian partners.

Mr. Novikov is a Head of Representative office of Bankgesellschaft Berlin AG (formerly Berliner Bank AG) in Ukraine since February 1993. His principal responsibilities are representing the bank`s interests in Ukraine, business origination, the establishment of correspondent bank relations, local research, and provision of trade finance and consulting services for the international and local bank`s clients operating in Ukraine. Mr.Novikov has extensive knowledge in the areas of capital markets, eurobond issues, sovereign and corporate debt restructuring, forfeiting and debt trading, corporate finance services, development and valuation of investment projects in Ukraine. He has more than 12 years experience in banking and finance. In 1998 due to his considerable personal contribution SBC Warburg Dillon Read successfully issued of 500 mn euro Notes for Ukraine.
